Adlington [Lancashire]
Electrification completed on the Bolton to Euxton Junction line, including this substantial bridge rebuild at Adlington, but still diesel services for the time being. 142027 and 150276 slow to call on a Buckshaw Parkway to Manchester Victoria stopping service. From May 2019 there will be through electric trains from Blackpool North to Macclesfield. This should bring a first opportunity (for those who like that sort of thing) to catch a train from Adlington (Lancashire) to Adlington (Cheshire)!
