Messina Maritime
A view from the train deck of the ferry 'Messina' as it backs away from the dockside on 2nd June 2018. The nose door of the ship is starting to close and the connecting plate with locking pin has been raised to release the ship. The rail wagons in the background will all have arrived in Sicily by one of the train ferries. Note that the tracks start to diverge on the harbour side but there is a further set of points on the ship itself and four roads in total on the train deck.
