Petřín Funicular

The Petřín Funicular runs from Malá Strana up to he top of Petřín Hill in Prague with an intermediate stop at Nebozízek which has a restaurant. This shot was taken a few years after the funicular railway re-opened; it had been closed for 20 years due to landslides. Two funicular cars pass near the top station. The view is to the east and in the background the River Vltava is visible above the poplar trees with the Old Town beyond.
