Summerseat
There's a lot of variety on the East Lancs Railway these days but this is the first visit by a Wickham DMU and the first time Mildenhall has appeared on a destination blind on the line. The only UK example of a class of five 2-car sets (two were exported to Trinidad after withdrawal) owes its survival to being selected for departmental use as the Eastern Region General Manager's saloon. Seen here at Summerseat during the Scenic Railcar Gala weekend on 4th November 2017. The standard of restoration is a credit to all concerned.
