Arniston Colliery Emily Pit
The sealed south portal of the tramway tunnel through the original (north) bing at Arniston, enabling waste material to be transported via a cable tramway to the tipping point on the south bing. The eagle-eyed may notice the end of an old concrete covered tram rail in use as a lintel. For a map showing the route of the tramway see image 61725.
