Cogie Hill

An unidentified LMS Black 5 crossing the minor road at Cogie Hill with a goods train returning from Pilling towards Garstang, probably sometime in the early 1960s. Between 1908 and the 1930 withdrawal of passenger services there was a small request halt here. The crossing keeper's cottage survived the 1963 closure of the line. See image 18313 for a modern day comparison from the same spot.
