Hesselby Bangård

The diesel shunter hurries off to retrieve the service train from the far end of the line. A grass fire had broken out and to avoid any further occurrences the railway decided to withdraw the steam loco from service.
This is a type Z4p from 1956 ordered by SJ which had by then taken over Gotland's passenger railways. A few of this type were shipped out to the island possibly on the deck of a fishing boat and shipped back about 4 years later for use elsewhere on the 891mm network after all the island's lines had closed.
