Rawtenstall
For the first twenty five years after the ELR reopened the line to Rawtenstall the gates at Rawtenstall West were manually operated See image 32794. However, box controlled barriers and associated signalling have now been commissioned. Visiting BR Standard 2-6-0 76084 departs Rawtenstall with a Heywood train passing the new barriers on 11th February 2017.
