Preston

A Network Rail test train stops at Preston just before midnight on 15 July 2016 whilst working from Blackpool to Derby, although not the direct route. The train had run earlier run via Preston, Blackburn, Hellifield, Carnforth, Morecambe (reverse), then back tracking to Blackburn where it travelled to Bolton(reverse) back to Blackburn (reverse) and then Preston (reverse). It finally headed south towards Derby with the overhead line inspection coach having the pantograph raised. What was noticeable was the foliage stuck in the pantograph which it appears to have collected earlier in the journey. The loco on the front for the next part of the journey was Inter City liveried 37254 and Colas liveried 37175 was on the rear.
