Chorley
A Northern Manchester to Blackpool service approaches Chorley on the evening of 14 May 2016. Major engineering work is scheduled for every weekend and some weekday evenings from 18 June to 2 October at Chorley. This includes the realignment of tracks and rebuild of platforms to enable electrification of the line. Work has already started on preparations for a temporary down platform to the right of the DMU. This will allow realignment of the current down platform.
