Kelty

Looking north to Kelty station, junctions and marshalling yards in 1989. Unfortunately the trackbed has been heavily landscaped and you'll need your imagination. A cutting here ran from the foreground off to the left with the station by the distant buildings to the left. The station building, somewhat confusingly, survives at Loch Leven having been moved see image 17062. Behind the camera was the junction between the 'new' line from Cowdenbeath [2nd] and Lumphinnans. This photograph was taken to compare with K M Falconer's photograph in 'Scottish Steam in Colour' on page 93.
