This schematic of the Valley Lines (on an NEC stand belonging to the Welsh inward investment trade body) shows Cwmgrach, Tower Colliery, Cwmbargoed, Machen, Ford Bridgend, and the freight line South-West of Tondu. Gwaun-cae-Gurwen is out of view to the West, while Uskmouth and Glascoed would be shown to the East. Notice also the recently opened stations at Energlyn and at Rogerstone - Ebbw Vale Town clearly wasn't opened quite soon enough.
