I've heard of a request stop, but never a request start. The chain-hauled pods between the NEC and Birmingham Airport now run on demand outside peak hours see image 34994. Unfortunately, the pods themselves have been made more difficult to photograph as a multi-storey car park has been built just to the right of this boarding point.
