Immenstadt
At Immenstadt in the south of Germany, the branch to Oberstdorf leaves the Munich to Lindau main line in the 'wrong' direction, so that services from Oberstdorf to Kempten and beyond are faced with a reversal here. 218 499 on the left has just brought in train IC2012 (09:45 Oberstdorf - Hannover Hbf) on 28 April 2010 and is running round its train to join classmate 218 494 which was waiting at Immenstadt and has already coupled up. Very occasional Railscot contributor Ingrid Jamieson can be seen chatting to the train's conductor beyond the first lamp-post.
