Ramsbottom

The East Lancs Railway held a 3-day Class 14s @ 50 gala in July 2014. A highlight of the event was the return to service (after twenty years) of resident D9537, not least because it had been secretly painted in the experimental Desert Sand livery, complete with cast cabside crests, as carried by Western D1000 in 1961. The pristine loco is seen at Ramsbottom waiting to leave for Rawtenstall on 26 July.
