Leipzig

Platform 24 at Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, seen here on 6th July 2013, hosts a former Deutsche Reichsbahn 2-10-0 steam loco (used occasionally on excursions) and an assortment of preserved diesel and electric rolling stock. Built between 1909 and 1915, this was the largest terminus station in Europe when opened, with 26 platforms - only two of which have been lost (to car parking).
