The Cumbrian Mountain Express on 7 September 2013 was hauled by A4 no 60009, Union of South Africa. The tour is seen on the outward leg from Crewe to Carlisle via Stockport, Manchester Victoria, Bolton, Leyland, Blackburn and the S&C approaching Chorley.
