Leyland
The appearance of 45407 with support coach at Leyland on 27 July 2013 was only a surprise because it should have been accompanied by 44871 and hauled by a Class 37. The two locos had set off from Fort William the night before to attend the 45th anniversary of the 15 Guinea special on the East Lancs Railway. Unfortunately, problems with 44871 (one of the engines on the original special) resulted in 45407 making its own way on the last leg of the journey, at this stage around 90 minutes late.
