National Railway Museum York

Yorkshire Engine Co Class 02 diesel hydraulic 0-4-0 D2860 at the NRM, York in June 2013. One of 10 examples (out of a total class of 20) built for use in areas with a restricted loading gauge and/or tight curvature such as docks. Note the cab door at the rear, complete with railed veranda, more common in US designs. The locomotive was allocated to Fleetwood from new in 1961 and was eventually withdrawn from Allerton in December 1970.
