Doncaster

60007 Sir Nigel Gresley stands at Doncaster on 6 July 1963 with the LCGB 'Mallard Commemorative Railtour'. The special, which ran from Kings Cross, had been arranged to mark the 25th anniversary of the world speed record for steam set by Mallard and had included visits to York Railway Museum and Doncaster Works. (No 60007 reached a speed of 102 mph on Stoke bank during this trip.)
