Bulleid Southern Railway Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 35026 Lamport & Holt Line is standing alongside Platform 5 at Doncaster, during a station stop whilst en route to York on a William Deacon's Bank Club special working in November 1966. The next time I saw this loco' was on 13 August 1967 in the yard of John Cashmore ship dismantlers in Newport S Wales, where it and a further 27 loco's were awaiting scrapping.
