Preston (Ribble Branch)

Although the air-braked Dutch Class 11 See image 40573 is now available to the Ribble Rail drivers the word is that they much prefer the ease of access and visibility from the 4wDM Sentinel shunters, as illustrated here on Enterprise leaving the dock swing bridge with the loaded bitumen tanks. Three locos, Progress, Energy & Enterprise, were purchased new by Preston Corporation in 1968 to cover remaining docks traffic after steam finished and all survive in the Ribble Rail fleet.
