Newcraighall South Junction

On a pre-construction walk along the route of the Borders Railway on 9th October 2012, a view from high above the first cutting which will need to be excavated south of Newcraighall. Looking north, a strip of woodland at the north west end of the former Millerhill Down Yard has already been cut back. The new lines most northerly dynamic loop will revert to single track south of the red buffer stop of the Newcraighall turnback siding, which can just be seen in the distance.
