Hawick [2nd]

Northbound and southbound freights passing at Hawick, seen from the signal box on a wet and overcast day in 1964. The practice whereby Edinburgh and Carlisle enginemen and guards changed trains at Hawick on certain turns ceased in January 1966, with Edinburgh-based train crew thereafter working through to Carlisle and back.
