Gilling
Long closed Gilling station looks little different from when the editor photographed it in 2008, but the old goods shed behind the station has now been tastefully converted into a luxury home, quirkily known as The Engine Shed. View from the level crossing westwards through the station site, beyond which there was a junction for the lines to Malton (closed 1930) and Pickering via Helmsley (closed 1953).
