Steelend Goods

A little to the south of Steelend Goods Station itself is the site of the exchange sidings that once served Bandrum Colliery, located just over a mile to the west. The fence on the left marks the course of the line. The pit was sunk in 1907 but abandoned three years later due to geological problems. Photographed in January 2012.
