Haworth

Early morning steam raising in the KWVR yard at Haworth sees Midland 4F 0-6-0 43924 over the inspection/ash pit on 7 January 2012. It sports an 82E Bristol Barrow Road shed plate, where it spent several years, but its final shed was Gloucester. This led to it ending up in Woodham's scrap yard at Barry and its main claim to fame is that it was the first locomotive to be rescued from there, over forty years ago. It has been a regular performer on the KWVR over many years and returned to service again in 2011 after another overhaul. See image 32012 Picture by kind permission of KWVR staff.
