'So... according to this ancient map, we should now be standing on the 'X' marking the precise spot where the treasure was buried.....
Gaffers meeting at Niddrie West NCB exchange sidings in 1974. Shortly afterwards the sidings were rationalised and a hired BR class 08 shunter took over from the steam pugs. See image 1071 for a pug in action at the same spot.
