Blackfriars

Thameslink trains formed by dual voltage class 319 units pass at Blackfriars station in July 2005. A St Albans service is running into platform 5 off Blackfriars Bridge, while a through train for Sutton is standing at 4. The reopened (1988) north-south route via Snow Hill Tunnel and the Metropolitan widened lines continues behind the camera. The buildings forming the backdrop all stand on the other side of the River Thames.
