Lancaster

With Scots Guardsman currently out of action 8F 48151 has become the regular motive power for the weekly Fellsman excursions from Lancaster. Here the 2-8-0, with its steam sanders on and maintaining around 10mph on the tight and greasy curve, digs in to the climb of Lancaster bank but as the line straightened out the exhaust beat picked up and the train accelerated up the hill.
