Birmingham International

The 'maglev' shuttle at Birmingham Airport See image 19857 was replaced by a pair of cable-hauled driverless pods - one blue, one green. As can be seen on the track on the right, the cables run over many pulleys. This gives the strange result that the sound of moving parts is audible whenever the pods are in motion, whether you can see them or not! Despite the legend on the side of the pod, it doesn't actually go all the way to Australia..
