Stratford Shed
Last of the B12s. Photograph taken at Stratford MPD in October 1961 featuring B12 4-6-0 no 61572. Following its withdrawal from 32A Norwich Thorpe shed the locomotive was preserved and can usually be seen on the North Norfolk Railway. To the right is class 306 (ex-AM6) electric unit 018, recently converted from 1500V DC to 25KV AC along with the Liverpool Street - Shenfield electrification system. These units continued in service for a further 20 years see image 48405.
