Alloa

Detail from OS One Inch Seventh Series Sheet 55 showing the Alloa
Railway as it was in 1957. This line left the main line at Alloa
Junction, north of Larbert and ran over a swing bridge to Alloa West
Junction. There was a branch from Dunmore Junction to South Alloa, but by this time it appears to have been reduced to a headshunt for some sidings. The closed station was Airth; not very handy for the village. Crown copyright 1957.
