Church and Oswaldtwistle
New Year's morning at Church and Oswaldtwistle, looking towards Accrington. Just beyond the end of the platforms was the entrance to Accrington Motive Power Depot, which only finally closed to DMUs in the early 1970s. The buildings behind the far platform occupy the site of the old goods yard. See image 30519 for a view of the original goods shed and the predecessor waiting shelter.
