Carnforth

Looking as if it is heading for Paris at full speed, but actually on the demonstration line at Steamtown, is SNCF 231 K 22. This Pacific dated from 1920 and had worked until 1966. At this time it was owned by the late Dr Peter Beet, who rescued many steam locomotives, but it subsequently moved to a German heritage line.
