Caldwell's Paper Mill

The former rail-served paper mill alongside the Rosyth Dockyard branch at Inverkeithing in January 2010. For generations rail travellers have looked down on this confidently-lettered frontage from high above on Jamestown viaduct. No doubt many of them have mused, like me, that with the benefit of hindsight 1914 was not an ideal time to open a factory. This scene is already history as the mill is currently (August 2010) being demolished after years of disuse.
