Newton Heath MPD
EE Class 40 No. 201, and Brush Class 47 No. 1646, at Newton Heath shed alongside an 08 shunter and another Class 40 in green livery. Nowadays this depot exclusively services DMUs, and has a large allocation of various classes, but in the late 1960s and 1970s significant numbers of Classes 25, 40 and 47 could be seen in between passenger and freight turns.
