Shotts

The station building on the westbound platform at Shotts, photographed from the footbridge in October 1985.  The building is almost identical to the one at West Calder see image 15556, the only apparent difference being the shape of the dormer.  Note the British Railways era enamel run-in board, a rare survivor 21 years after the image change. It had not worn well.  Twenty-five years on from that, in 2010, the ticket office is still open; it's the only one on the 14 stations exclusive to this line.
