Crawford Viaduct [Camps Reservoir Railway]

View across the Clyde at Crawford over the bridge that carried the Camps Railway. The 3 ft gauge line was built in the 1920s on behalf of Lanarkshire County Council in connection with the construction of Camps reservoir to the east. The line was lifted in the 1930s and the bridge is nowadays used by hill walkers and as a shortcut by villagers. The former yard and exchange sidings stood just behind the camera alongside the WCML.
