Inverkeithing

Inverkeithing station in its current form dates from the opening of the Forth Bridge in 1890 when Dalmeny and North Queensferry were also opened.  Happily all three stations retain an original building and in the case of Inverkeithing it's the Up waiting room. In the middle of the room there's what looks like an oversized rectangular pillar which was once the fireplace and chimney though as can be seen the chimney top has long gone.
