Stratford-upon-Avon

The old main line through Broadway to Cheltenham appears to continue beyond Stratford's platforms, but in fact the buffers are just round the corner and this station has been a terminus since 1968. The line remained for freight only (avoiding the Lickey incline) until 1976 but a road has now been built over the old trackbed through part of the town. 150018, seen from the Great Western covered footbridge, is newly arrived from Stourbridge Junction and about to return there via Birmingham Snow Hill.
