Stratford-upon-Avon
If the gentleman leaning on the barrier at Stratford upon Avon on 12 August 2023 was hoping to see a Vintage Trains Castle Class 4-6-0 he was around 18 hours early. However, he may still have been surprised to see 57010 at the head of a West Coast Railways excursion shortly to start its return journey to Liverpool Lime Street. The train travelled via a somewhat circuitous route around the West Midlands, which undoubtedly pleased the gricers on board.
