Eastfield Shed

A trio of class 08 shunting locomotives stabled on Eastfield shed in May 1959. This was BRs most numerous locomotive class with 996 units being built between 1953 and 1962. The only identifiable example in this photograph, nearest the camera, is D3396. This became 08326 on renumbering and was eventually withdrawn by BR in October of 1983.
