Dunfermline Queen Margaret

As can be seen from this picture Dunfermline is a hilly town, and
there's a sharp climb from Dunfermline Town station to Townhill
Junction, a few hundred yards behind the camera.  The old Class 117 DMUs, finally replaced 10 years ago this month, seemed to make particularly heavy weather of this grade, and there was a sigh of relief in the carriage when Townhill Junction was reached and everything stopped vibrating.  Making less of a fuss here on Sunday 15 November is 170 416 with an Outer Circle working about to Call at Queen Margaret.
