Remagen
Scene at Remagen in May 1997 with the push-pull train for Altenahr waiting to depart. A solitary diesel in a sea of electrics - and not a multiple unit in evidence anywhere. No doubt all different now.
The Ahrtalbahn has been pretty well destroyed by the recent floods (2021). All the bridges over the river have been swept away and the towns and villages along the route have been badly affected.
