Bogside Fife

The BLS Lothian and Fife Wanderer railtour calls at Bogside, Fife, on 23 August 1980, at that time the end of the line from Dunfermline. Two gunpowder vans stand in the siding opposite the old signal box (a sealed version of which still stands alongside what is now a walkway/cycle path) See image 11082. Bogside lost its passenger service in 1958, although freight continued for several years. Official closure of the line between Bogside and Oakley came in 1982.
