New Lane
The original L&YR station building, now a private residence, still stands on New Lane's Up Platform. In front is a small waiting shelter and a traditional telephone kiosk. A Northern 142 Pacer, on a Southport to Wigan and Manchester service, hurries towards Burscough Bridge in this view across the level crossing from the staggered Down platform.
