Woolfold

Classic Cam Camwell branch line station study showing Woolfold, with the only loop on the Holcombe Brook branch. As can be seen, unlike the main line, the loop here was never electrified, and so was effectively goods only. All trace of Woolfold station has now gone, but the small viaduct just beyond the platforms, although demolished, has since been replaced by a bridge carrying the trackbed cycle trail. View down the gradient towards Bury in 1952.
