Ramsbottom
The Great Marquess, on ELR Santa Special duties, waits by the level crossing at Ramsbottom. In the early 1960s Ramsbottom was very busy with passenger and freight trains and the signal box here was operated continuously seven days a week, apart from a short period in the small hours of Monday mornings. 61994 returned to Thornton after this weekend's ELR roster.
