Heysham Port

The Boat Train arrives at Heysham Port, formerly Heysham Harbour, to connect with the Isle of Man Steam Packet vessel Ben-My-Chree, seen in the background. 156480 will make two trips from Lancaster (2008 timetable) - this one arriving at 1230 to collect from the inbound sailing and then returning just before 1400 with outbound passengers for what will be a grey murky crossing. The slightly rusty line on the left is the connection into the two nuclear power stations but DRS flask traffic was light at that time as the stations were not operating at full capacity because of ongoing maintenance.
